Pushing the Hack

Pushing the Hack represents a conversation with my grandfather Al Abramson, a medallion-owning taxi driver from 1928 to 1968 in New York City. Born in 1908, he describes himself as a Hustler and a Thief, a driver doing whatever he needed to put bread on the table for his family

Inside the book:

  • Q&A about driving a taxi for 40 years

  • Trivia, history, and fun facts about NYC and taxies

  • Living in the early 1900s

  • Much more!
